Axis Mutual Fund is one of the top Asset management company in india . It’s two funds are part of my personal portfolio. Axis Mutual fund is a joint venture between Axis Bank and Schroders, a British multinational asset management.
The venture was established in October 2009 and today has over Rs. 1 lakh crore assets under it’s management. Today the fund houses over 20 lakh investor accounts and has presence in more than 90 cities of India.

Axis Bluechip Fund
Axis Bluechip Fund is a large-cap category fund and which was launched in 2010. It has today Asset under management of over Rs. 8000 crore.
Although it is a relatively new entry in the large-cap category, it has beaten both its benchmarks and category return in the 7 of 8 years since it’s launch.
The fund has given 12.25% average annual return since inception. It’s last 3-year returns are 14.99% which is about 5% more than the large cap category average. I have recommended this fund to my friends and families before outbreak of covid 19 in India. Today they are having returns of over 26% in just 6 months time frame.
The fund has still not seen a big falling market like 2008, but it has witnessed Covid19 outbreak. It has tackled Covid19 situation very well and recovered from the sharp fall.
Axis Long Term Equity Fund
Axis Long Term Equity is the largest fund of ELSS category. It was launched in 2009 and today has asset under management (AMU) of over Rs. 20,000 crores. The fund invests mostly in large and mid-cap companies with a 60 to 80% allocation to large caps and remaining in mid caps.
It has been a consistent performer since its inception, having beaten both its benchmark and ELSS category returns of past years except 2016.
The fund has delivered 17.36% returns since inception. It’s 5-year returns are 13.03% which is around 4% more than the category average.
Axis Focused 25 Fund
Axis Focused 25 Fund, as the name suggests, is a focused fund. It was launched in 2012 and today has an asset under management (AMU) of over Rs. 8,000 crore. The fund select stocks based on the company’s pricing power and durable competitive advantage.
It has around 78% allocation in large caps and the remaining in mid cap companies. The fund has delivered awesome 16.05% returns since inception. It’s last 5-year returns are 13.86% and it has beaten both benchmark and category returns by around 4%.
